Draco nodded and turned back around to go upstairs.

She sighed and went back to bed. She felt great. Hopefully she would feel almost normal the next morning.

She woke up the next morning, practically glowing. Stacy wasnt there, probably with Cedric. She groaned as she realisd something. She had to leave Hogwarts today. She slowly got her bag packed and walked into the common room.

Draco looked up as he saw Melie enter with her things. "Where you going to go?" He asked loudly, so the whole common room heard it.

She went bright red and bowed her head. "Dont have anywhere to go" She mumbled. She started to walk out.

Draco snorted as she walked out. He waited a minute or two after she left and got up, and left the common room. He walked up to her slowly. "You have no plan of where you're going, whatsoever?" he asked.

She looked at him oddly. "You of all people know I dont. I have no family to go to, so I guess ill just be homeless." She frowned and sped up slightly, gripping her bag.

Draco rolled his eyes so she couldn't see. "Talk to Dumbledore. Umbridge may be able to expell you, but she can't banish you from the grounds." He said.

She stopped. "So, what? Im just supposed to live here but not go to school? Thats ridiculous." She mumbled. She started walking again.

"Hey!" He yelled at her, "It's better than nothing!" He said angrily.

She sighed wearily. "If I stay here, she will keep torturing me. I hate it. Thanks for the help though." She was near the front doors.

"Fine!" He yelled back. "Because it's not like you're going to stay anymore alive out there than in here." He said.

Melie turned around, slightly shocked. "What?" She asked.

"Well there are still death eaters out there..." He said slowly.

"Oh yeah. Well. Not like there's anywhere else to go but out there." She bowed her head.

Draco sighed, "I just said go talk to Dumbledore..."

She scowled. "Fine." She smiled slightly.

"Thank you." Draco muttered and rolled his eyes again before heading back to the common room.

She went to see Dumbledore. He said it was outrageous and would speak to her at once. She left the room grinning madly. She went back to the common room to unpack in her room.

Draco saw Melie re-enter the common room. He acknowlaged her, but didn't say or do anything.

She nodded a thanks at Draco and walked into her room. She unpacked her things and lay down on her bed. She felt really happy. She looked at her watch, classes were definately over. It was about 11pm. She walked out and into the common room. It was pitch black. She felt over the couch and sat down on it. It was comfy. She sighed and hugged her knees.

Draco ignored her thanks and went back to what he was doing. A few minutes later, she walked back out into the common room and slump into the couch. She obviously didn't realise he was there. He gave a small but loud cough to annouce his presence.

Melie jumped. "WHAT?!" She stood up suddenly. "Oh." She sat back down again and rested her head on the side of the couch, her back to Draco.

Draco laughed at her reaction. "What you doing down here?" He asked her.

"Trying to sleep" She mumbled, closing her eyes. "You?"

Draco snorted. "In the common room? You won't be woken up nicely then." He said.
