"My mum used to say I could sleep through an earthquake" She laughed bitterly. "My bed is uncomfortable. I cant sleep in it, this is where I have been sleeping." She bit her lip. "Dont tell anyone please?!

Draco laughed again. "You've been sleeping here? I'm surprised. Anyone who finds out won't let you forget it, and what the fuck do you mean the beds are uncomfortable? That's bullshit." He said and rolled his eyes. "Just use a spell of something anyway."

She sighed. "Stop it." She mumbled.

Draco snorted. "Well if you don't like it, leave." He snapped.

She opened her eyes. "Please? Im trying to sleep. And no, spells dont work. They make it worse." She frowned. "Yours was way too comfortable" She mumbled to herself.

"You don't seem to be very good at magic. You don't know spells for any of the basic things." He said and rolled his eyes.

"I dont see the need to use it. It practically ruined my life, so I dont like using it either." She ran her fingers through her hair, fustrated.

"Oh god..." Draco mumbled, "Then why the hell did you come to Hogwarts if you hate magic? And the how the hell can you hate being magical?" He said. He hated when someone would complain about being magical.

"Do you think I had any other choice? They wouldnt let me live my own life." She retoreted. ""Anyway, anything was better than where I was." She mumbled.

"Then stop complaining." Draco snapped. "Be thankful for being magical. It may have bloody well saved you a depressing life..." He mumbled quietly.

"Gee, when you say it like that I feel so much better." She said sarcastically. She could feel herself crying. She scowled at herself. She was always crying.

"Jeez, it's like you're trying to live a fairytale. Welcome to the real world, life sucks, get over it." He snapped again.

"No I'm not!" She protested. "You think I dont know that life sucks? Have you met me?" She turned around and stared at him in disbeleif.

Draco looked at her, "Yes I have, and so far all I know is you don't even think about anything good that could be happening in your life. You're such a pessimist." He said.

"There is always something good. Just...doesnt seem to be at the moment" She mumbled. "I just dont get my hopes up" She said quietly.

"Well maybe if you just sit there and think, maybe something good will suddenly hit you, and you won't be so damn depressed all the time." He sighed in frustration.

Melie stared at him, slightly surprised. "What?"

"You are always finding something to complain about! You're never happy, or at the very least, content!" Draco explained in frustration.

She smiled slightly. "Im happy right now?"

"Well, there's first." Draco rolled his eyes.

She glared at him. "Ive been happy before. Very happy." She was glad it was dark so she couldnt see her blushing.

Draco shook his head. "You're never truly happy. There's always something bothering you." He sighed, and got up, leaving to go to his dorm.

"Shut up! I have been fully happy, I completely forgot about everything. My parents, Bellatrix, pain. EVERYthing went!" She scowled and turned around on the couch.

Draco rolled his eyes and turned around, "And that was when?" He asked.

She went bright red. "Uuuh, you know. That day! Outide the school, when we were going to die. Then you -ahem- you know...kissed me"She trailed off.
